Sport

Nursery
Alongside the EYFS Profile which includes Physical Development; full time children have access to the school sports programme which includes lessons with the School’s PE staff; they learn the basic skills for ball games and racquet sports along with agility, running and throwing skills. This culminates with a Fun Sports Day at the end of the Academic Year together with the junior school children.

Infant
Infant children continue with their lessons with a more formal approach that allows children to realise that they can’t win every time and that the best team will win. There is an infant football club held during the Autumn and Spring Terms during after-care; with tennis and cricket during the summer term.

Junior and Seniors
Competitive sport continues to be taught, with the winter season seeing, rugby, football, netball, hi five, swimming and indoor activities of basketball, badminton, uni-hock, fitness and dance. The summer term sees swimming, tennis, rounders athletics and cricket. It is in the Summer term that the whole school enjoy the School Sports day at Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium.
